I haven't been to the forums yet, but anyone notice how similar the Incident was to the Smokey we know?
He pulls people into holes, yanks off arms, has a chain noise, a crane noise and maneuver, and a warble noise.
Methinks like the Wheel was contained underground, surrounded by exotic matter, the Monster was trapped in the Swan's future location, and much like the Island's cyclical nature, operates in a proxy manner to the events proceeding its merging with the bomb here.
