Dharma Dummies Instant Reactions: LA X Parts 1 and 2

Download | Duration: 00:09:31

We're back and we've got so much so much to talk about we couldn't contain it one timeline, let alone one podcast. So here is our instant reaction to "LA X," the marvelously chaotic final season premiere of Lost. Due to all the time jumping we have a special co-host for this first podcast, but Chris and I have recorded a full length analysis of the episode which will be up shortly.

Namaste and good luck,
Clay

Dharma Dummies Episode 38: The Incident Parts 1 and 2 Reactions

Download | Duration: 01:14:27

The Dummies are back on the island. New and improved. We've been gone a while taking care of other business, so we offer this special reactions episode to the season five finale, "The Incident," Parts 1 and 2 as a gift to our podcasting audience. We debate and discuss free will, destiny, tapestries, smoke monsters and a man named Jacob. Enjoy.

After this we will be embarking on a time jump back to 6 months, when I had more time to edit these podcasts things. We will be finally getting to our reactions to "Dead is Dead," "Some like it Hoth," "The Variable," and "Follow the Leader." Plus we'll be revisiting "The Incident" one more time before season six arrives. And  we're going to squeeze in a few character analysis episodes too... Ben Linus anyone? We're glad to be back and we hope to here from anyone still left out there in Hiatusland.

Namaste,
Clay

Go Ben!!!

Congrats to Michael Emmerson for his long overdue Emmy!  We've always known you are the best, and now the world has acknowledged it.  Although, I must admit, ya do freak me out a little, dude.

Get ready to go back to school!

To celebrate the Season 5 Blu-Ray release in December (who says Christmas can't come early) and Comic-Con, Lost has announced the opening of Lost University!  Follow the link here to sign up early for the newsletter!

http://lostuniversity.org/index.php

Class sign-up begins September 22.  (A wonderful Lost date).

How would you like a class by Jermey Davies?  Lost survival taught by the cast?  Oh yeah, my friends, it's time to go back to school!

Also, con goers found a phone number for a professor.  You get a recording.  The number for the professor is 1-818-824-6300.

More con goodness to follow as it breaks.

The Dummies aren't dead yet.

Hello all. Clay here with an update on the podcast, blog and message board plans. As you may have surmised much of my time is being spent tending to the needs of little person pictured below:

And since Lost is still hiatus, the Dummies have been taking an extended break. We've still got the last four "reactions" episodes to splice together and we've recorded a special live (sort of) finale reactions episodes as well. Diaper duty will hinder us no longer. Now that we've gotten into what we loosely refer to as "a schedule" with Dummy Baby Joshua I fully intend to get back into Lost mode. Both Chris and I have a ton to blather on about when it comes to the recent happenings on the show. Firstly, can we just have an entire episode of Jacob and Flocke talking on the beach next season? Come on Darlton!

Anyway, I know everyone is busy with summer vacations or just catching up with doing "non-Lost" things but this is just a reminder that we haven't forgotten about you, the loyal Dummy nation. We'll be back in full effect soon and caught up with the timeline before season 6 starts which is just around the corn... oh, right.

Namaste,
Clay

Dharma Dummy Joshua has arrived.

Joshua has arrived and is totally sure that Illana is Jacob's ex-wife or something. More surprisingly he willingly participated in promoting Dharma Dummies swag. It's a tad on the large size, but that's just how he rolls. Gangsta!

On a slightly more podcastish note, I'll be back to the editing hopefully in a couple of weeks. If only I could find the kind of babysitting service that Sun has.... oh wait, that's right Sun just left Ji Yeown with her grandmother for possibly the rest of recorded history. First Kate leaves baby Aaron alone in a hotel room and then Sun dashes off the island again. You throw in Michael's ability to parent Walt and LOST= bad parenting. Anyway, gotta go change diaper # 42.

Namaste,
Clay
